Ekondo Disclaimer against Fraudulent Schemes

It has come to our attention that the name of the Ekondo Microfinance Bank, logo and address is being used in attempts to defraud the public through false financial transactions, demand for the payment of non existent taxes/fees and other scams. In some cases Ekondo is named as the bank through which certain payments must be made or that must approve the transaction. This type of fraud may be via email, letters, fax or by using a website purporting to be that of Ekondo.

In order to provide legitimacy to the schemes, the perpetrators send their letters on imitation Ekondo Microfinance Bank letterhead with the forged signature of the Group Managing Director of the Bank, the Chairman of the Bank, or other officers of the Bank. Ekondo cautions the public against providing personal information, sending money or disclosing bank details to any person claiming to represent Ekondo Microfinance Bank or to have a relationship with Ekondo. Ekondo works closely with all regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies charged with bringing fraudsters to book in the various countries we operate.

Members of the public are hereby advised not to send/receive money to/from such scammers, as Ekondo will have no liability whatsoever for losses suffered by anyone who falls victim to such scams from fraudsters.
